It seems like the classic punishment in school was getting sent to the corner. According to tradition, if you were sent to the corner you had to sit on a tall stool with a dunce cap on. Though I have to admit, even in the 1970's, I never saw one of these. If you were sent to the corner, there you had to stand. Many parents have used this punishment form also, standing with your nose in the corner. But lets face it, if you are sent to the corner today, it probably isn't empty. But has a corner desk in it with a nice computer, such as the latest iMac or PC. Yes, kids today love to sit in the corner.
It takes time to organize. Some experts have suggested that the time it takes you to organize your desk can be more productively spent doing your job-and that organization doesn't save you a large amount of time to begin with. Disorganized people often claim that they know where everything is, and this is often true-and if you're well organized but the paper you need is across the office in your filing cabinet, it may take you just as long to get your hands on it as it would if it were under a pile on your desk.
Having an L-shaped desk is advantageous. First of all it has more space and many are incredibly attractive. Some also have hutches and it is easier to compartmentalize work due to its shape. Using one in the office also makes it easier to divide work space into cubicles giving workers privacy to do their work but at the same time it does not alienate them from their other co-workers. It is quite easy to organize work in this kind of desk. Here are some tips on how to keep your desk neat and organized.
